A Good Man

I read author Rosanna Leo’s romance novel A Good Man, Handyman Book 1, when it first came out, but it’s been rereleased with some sizzling changes and a fabulous new cover.

He tears down walls for a living. She’ll tear down the ones around his heart.

Contractor Michael Zorn is one of the leading men on the successful home improvement show Handymen. He is also revered for an act of bravery he’d rather forget. The press may hound him, but all he really wants is to help couples realize their home renovation dreams.

One of these couples is Emily Daniels and her fiancé, Trent. When Emily inherits an old home in Toronto’s Little Italy, she sees it as the perfect location for her small business. The house needs a lot of work, but her appearance on the Handymen show means Michael and his contractor brothers will help her renovate at a reasonable cost.

When Michael and Emily meet, their chemistry is intense. Emily wants to stay true to Trent, but her fiancé has done nothing but disappoint her. Michael recognizes Trent for what he is—a cheater. And it isn’t long before he breaks Emily’s heart.

At first, Michael only intends to comfort Emily, but their friendship soon flares into passion. Unfortunately, Michael has secrets and wounds of his own, ones he has never trusted to another. Emily is determined to break down his walls, but can she trust her heart to a man who can’t trust himself?

Craving Bad? We Are…

Most people think Kelsey and I (Sarah) are one person. We are, in fact, two different authors. However, we decided it was time we do something together. We are apart of an anthology, Craving Bad: An Anthology of Bad Boys and Wicked Girls.

bAD

It is 11 stories by 11 fabulous authors about the good girls who need the bad boys and the naughty girls affected by the sweet guys.

Kelsey’s story is called Ironside Sinners. It is a motorcycle club romance. Her old man, as in her father, is big into the MC scene. She was always fascinated by the world and the culture of the relationships. Then she watched Sons of Anarchy and realized just how sexy they could be. As a result, she wrote this story. Here is the trailer for it…

My story, (Sarah), is about what happens when the bad boy you want is your twin brother’s best friend. Twins always share a special bond. I know because I have a twin brother. Now, I’ve never dated one of his best friends (that I’ll admit to) but I won’t say the temptation wasn’t there. I added that idea with one of my true loves, heist movies. Here is the trailer…

The book is available for pre-order and will be live on May 23rd. Kelsey and I will be doing a live video that day. Stay tuned for details about that. The anthology can be seen

In the meantime, my college romantic suspense, First Semester, is available now. Fans of Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl will get lost in this book. It can be seen

Kelsey’s historical romance, Queen of Emeralds, is on sale for 99 cents. Outlander fans will love it! But don’t worry, it is definitely not a copy cat! It can be seen

The Non-Disclosure Agreement

You may have read my Scottish historical romance Queen of Emeralds (which is available HERE), but now my first contemporary romance from Limitless Publishing has arrived…and it takes sex in the city to a whole new level.

The Non-Disclosure Agreement (available HERE) tells the steamy tale of business mogul Jackson Cantrell and small town girl Holly McIntyre as they struggle to keep their business and personal lives separate. But when feelings and desire enter the mix, they might find it impossible to stay away.

DSJFHE

I left my old life, and my broken heart, back in Michigan. When I moved to New York City for a fresh start, I didn’t know I would be made a sinful offer I couldn’t refuse…

My billionaire businessman boss decided that being the most powerful man on the East Coast wasn’t enough. He needed political power, too. But who would vote for a womanizing playboy with a different model on his arm every week? If he wanted to win, he needed a respectable wife…he needed me.

I had the looks, the small town charm—I was even already his employee, but was willing to pretend to be so much more. And I’ve already signed a non-disclosure agreement, making me the perfect choice.

But will there come a point where pretend just isn’t enough?

The Non-Disclosure Agreement is now available for pre-order on Amazon HERE.

The Braille Club Reborn

I’m back with the final book in The Braille Club Series. We’ve done The Braille Club, The Braille Club Unbound, The Braille Club Undone, and now we have The Braille Club Reborn, all by JA Kerr, a lovely British author who has created a whole new dark and sensual world that I had never thought possible. As this is the forth book in the series, I’ll try to avoid spoilers as much as possible!

We open the book to Nick, Siena’s ex husband. He has been released from custody, still thinking of nothing more than sweet revenge against Siena and her soulmate Benedict. Meanwhile, Siena and Benedict will stop at nothing to keep their family, especially their toddler twins, safe from Nick. They know Nick was the mastermind behind the attempt to kill their children, but don’t have enough proof to put Nick behind bars for good. So they stay enclosed within their estate, trying to heal.

As with the rest of the series, Siena and Benedict aren’t the only characters we focus on. We also see Guy again, who has taken his job as Benedict’s right hand man to heart, neglecting his relationship with Anna. Then there’s Niven and Matt, who are still hot and heavy, Evan and Chloe who do a dance of lust and rejection on a rotating basis. But the focus is, deservedly, still on Nick and his plans, as he stretches his wing and contemplates fleeing the country…but not before exacting his revenge.

i-will-kill-you-wife

Vague, I know, but how can you explain four books worth of sex, murder, fighting, growth, and secrets without giving too much away? You can’t. The only thing you can do is buy the series and be immersed in it fully. As someone once said about The Braille Club, it could be made into an HBO series that lasts years and there still won’t be enough time to do this series justice. It’s available for preorder now! A perfect little gift to put in your own stocking 😉

Penelope “Penny” Summers is a woman after my own heart; petite, sassy, kinda stressed, sometimes late to important things, and a reformed wild child who is set to “fake it ’til you make it”. So Penny has a top job, a serious boyfriend named Henry…well, she did until Henry pulled a “Warner Huntington III”, a la Legally Blonde, and bailed on our peppy heroine in favor of finding his “Jackie Kennedy”, a squeaky clean woman who wouldn’t harm his political career. Luckily, Penny has a best friend to help her sort out all the nonsense, Patti Henderson, one foulmouthed blonde who is my spirit animal.

giphy.gif

Patti convinces Penny to take a much needed vacation, a week long cruise to the Bahamas. On their last night, Penny meets the mega rich hottie Sam and they have some super hot chemistry. Like clutch your pearls and fan yourself on the veranda chemistry. But when the hot sex ends, real life kicks back in, and she’s off the boat with out even Sam’s last name, let alone his number. Anyways, it isn’t going so hot for Penny at home and things are just as bad as she left them, especially since she’s now out one Jimmy Choo pump, abandoned somewhere in Sam’s cabin on the boat. But has she really seen the last of Sam…and her goddamn shoe?

Have you every read Bridget Jones’s Diary? The hilarious self-told tale of a single gal just looking for a hot hunk to possibly have a future with? Well, this book is the closest I’ve seen in a while that captures that same feeling. Really, I truly enjoyed this book as a pure comedic romance that will make you feel like Penny and Patti are a pair of your long list friends. I love, love, LOVED it. Really, grab a copy of Life as We Know It now!

Wildfire Hurricane

Wildfire Hurricane is the first book in the Ryder Boys series by Amelia James. Maybe it’s because I come from a firefighting family, but I went into this book pretty excited to see what James put together. Written in dual POV, it’s just spicy enough to satisfy, but not crass.

Simone and Dash go way back. They met as young teens and parted on bad terms. But, wouldn’t you guess it, they’re forced back together when Simone is hired as Dash’s new boss by the Emergency Management Service. Dash works as a forest fire fighter and, even though he spends his days running into the flames, he wants nothing more than to run far away from his feelings.

I’m glad that Simone is a strong woman in this book. She’s been dealt a bad hand in life and has worked hard to be the leader in a male-dominated field. Dash is throwing all sorts of accusations her way and, maybe it’s just me, I was on her side from their first reintroduction. She doesn’t take shit and she doesn’t need saving, something I truly appreciate.

latest

There’s a lot of arguing in this piece. Lots and lots and lot of bickering that mirrors true life, but was a tad tiresome at time, especially when Dash’s most recent “ex”, also a coworker, gets into the mix and starts drama unnecessarily. Since everyone involved is supposed to be a professional, there’s certainly a ton of unprofessional behavior right off the bat. But, if you ignore the cattiness and needless squabbling, the story of Dash and Simone is a classic one of regained love. I mean, they say those who fight hard, love hard, and there’s totally a ton of love hidden between the sassy side eye

A lie tore them apart but as the story progresses, you wonder if they have the capability to put aside their negative feelings to get to the truth. This couple compliments each other, completes each other, and it would be a shame if they couldn’t figure things out. The added stresses of a dangerous job, and the fact that the pair can’t be in the same room without a fight, adds to the mystery of their relationship.

Overall, it’s a good, easy, read with plenty of heat to complement the sunny weather at the beach.

The Braille Club

This morning we’re in for an interesting treat. The Braille Club is the first in a series by J.A. Kerr. Going in I didn’t know what to expect, and I found much more that I bargained for with developed characters and a unique concept that was really refreshing. 415Py9ZhvxL._SX308_BO1,204,203,200_

You enter an opulent room filled with other guests and are handed a blindfold. You are instructed to not remove the covering until you are told to. Then you’re led to an armchair and your hands are tied behind your back, a bell hanging against your fingers. When you feel a hand gently caress your face, that’s when the game beings.

blindfold

Benedict is the owner of two of London’s most exclusive spots; the most notable is ‘Braille Club’. The ‘Braille Club’ is modeled after the above scene where Benedict tries to recapture the erotic feelings of a blindfolded touch so many years ago. He’s always in control and prides himself in keeping his emotions closely guarded. But, there is one person who has been able to break through his stoic demeanor; the exotic and mysterious Siena. Siena’s a damaged, and married, woman, but her ties to husband Nick begin to fray and Benedict is in the corner of her guilty mind.

There are a few other members of this cast, but here are some of the most important; Matt- Benedict’s funny friend who always sees the good in him, Gabriella- who paid big money for a spot I. the club in order to learn some tricks so she can save her failing marriage, and Abbey who is hoping the things she learns during her lessons will bring her famous cheating husband back to her, and out of the arms of the other women, for good. Everyone has different reasons for their memberships, but each are just as real as they would be in real life.

Because these characters are so well developed and the history behind the Braille Club so interesting and exclusive, it’s easy to get a little lost between the shifts of time and points of view in the chapters. But the sensual encounters and riveting storyline makes up for it tenfold. You want to know who stays married, who comes into the club, and how each player has come to join. I’m glad this is part of a series because one book just isn’t enough. Grab your blindfolds and bells, people, because the review for book two is coming fast!
