Elton Hall Chronicles Series

You’ve gone to class with Violet, explored your options with Annabelle, and rode off into the sunset with Christie, but are you ready for all three of their stories in one amazing box set? The Elton Chronicles box set is available now on Amazon for only $.99 and it’s free on Kindle Unlimited.

Book One: First Semester

Violet is just a freshman, off on her first adventure, when she meets a man she dubs her “hipster Hercules”. He’s tall, dark, handsome, British…and her professor. But the heart wants what it wants and her heart sure as hell wants Professor Bernelli. However, someone isn’t too keen on keeping the two secret lovers hidden from the watchful eye of the dean and before she knows it, Violet is forced to fight for her relationship…and her life.

Book Two: Second Snowfall

Annabelle is a relationship virgin. True love has been her dream all her life and when red hot firefighter Kingsley drops into her lap, she thinks she might have found the one. But her heart really longs for another man, one that she can never have. And when her picture perfect romance begins to crack, Annabelle is left to pick up the pieces…before it’s too late.

Book Three: Third Wheel

Christ has her life all planned out. First she’ll graduate college, then marry her childhood sweetheart, and live happily ever after in the traditional American Dream….the traditional, boring American Dream. Christie breaks all the rules and even meets a boy who sets her soul on fire. But life with street racer Shane has its dangers and she’s about to learn first hand that living on the edge isn’t easy.

Give Back to Hole High

When Kelsey isn’t writing, she runs two nonprofit organizations, which Sarah fully supports. One of the nonprofits is a new one named Hole High.

Hole High was created by Brandon Canesi, who was born without hands. Yet his limb difference hasn’t stopped him from living a normal, yet adaptive, life. But Canesi truly thrives on the golf course. However, proper equipment and training is difficult to find and not covered by the majority of insurance plans. Due to that, most people with limb differences aren’t able to participate in the game in the same way the general public can.

The goal of Hole High is to help children and young adults with limb differences obtain specialized gear and promote the love of the game, no matter your physical status. This is something Kelsey and Sarah both believe strongly in, so for today and tomorrow, we will be donating all of our book sale proceeds to Hole High in order to help all adaptive golfers Go The Distance.

It’s Not Four Years, But For Life

Sarah and Kelsey have known each other for years now, but they aren’t just friends and blog partners, they’re sisters. Not sisters by blood, or marriage, or adoption…but sisters by bond. Sisters by Sorority.

14642188_590331471170956_8917233913154099981_n.jpg

Kelsey was already a sorority sister when she transferred to Stockton University, where they had a chapter of her sorority. In her first event, she met Sarah, who was the Vice President, thus in charge of New Member Education. Although Kelsey wasn’t technically a new member, sticking close to the VP was a good way to learn the traditions, chants, and sisters of the chapter.

They bonded over leopard print, glitter, and a fondness for Broadway. In fact, Kelsey even joined Sarah’s family line, making them “Gs”. Sarah is the GBig while Kelsey is the GLittle, with another sister sandwiched between. Soon, Sarah needed to graduate and begin her adult life back in Maryland. But that didn’t end their friendship.

21166_10201051073859926_233532470_n

They stayed close through Sarah getting engaged to, her now husband, Josh. They texted, emailed, and sent silly pictures. And even when Kelsey went through a difficult pregnancy, Sarah stuck close, helping, loving, and listening. They danced together at Sarah’s wedding and still exchange Christmas cards, along with daily phone calls. Sarah even makes several long trips from Maryland to Kelsey’s home in New Jersey, where she basically has her own bedroom!

And when it was Kelsey’s turn to wed, Sarah was by her side, playing both maid of honor and photography assistant, because no sister lets another take bad pictures on their wedding day.

When Sarah went through surgery last year, she wanted to work on some projects she had been thinking about for some time. She wanted to write a book. Well, it turned out that so did Kelsey. They became writing buddies, editing each others work, helping to pen letters to publishing houses, and supporting each other in this new world neither knew much about. They were even accepted by the same publishing house, Limitless Publishing.

As they began working with editors and cover design teams to put their first books into print, they decided to start a blog, the one you’re reading. They review books, products, and talk about your favorite shows and movies. They’ve become partners on so many levels, and wouldn’t have it any way.

17807234_10154443984852286_8790181104579410091_o.jpg

But it isn’t easy. They live about three hours apart and with a three year old, it’s tough for Kelsey to make the trip. With Sarah’s full time job, it’s hard for her to find the time. But they make it. Why? Because that’s what you do for sisters. When Sarah’s heart surgery meant she might not wake up, Kelsey was there. She told jokes, make inappropriate ineundos, and ensured Sarah had a few minutes of peace when she forgot the dangers. When Kelsey was going through her trying pregnancy, Sarah showed up with baby gifts in the form of a handmade baby blanket and the number for a photographer to capture all the future beautiful moments Kelsey would share with her family.

In other words, life happens. They say the best way to ensure change is to try and plan  something perfectly. Obviously, the sisters have been through their share of heartache. But they’ve made sure to remember that with heartache also comes joy. And thanks to their sorority and their vows, not only do they know they will always have someone to turn to, they also know how to make some amazing baby shower decorations. Nothing says forever like slaving over a hot glue gun and glitter.

They’re closer than many biologically related sisters, and that’s thanks to their sorority bond. Their vows made them sisters, but their hearts made them lifelong friends. One thing is for sure, they’re sure glad they “paid” for their friendship.

If you’re interested in reading the books they helped each other write, they’re both out now! Sarah’s book, First Semester, is a thrilling college romance that you can get HERE. Kelsey’s, Queen of Emeralds, is a historic romance set in the highlands that you can get HERE. Both of them come in paperback, ebook, and Kindle Unlimited.

Face Affection

This morning, it’s all about lip care. Winter is tough on lips, but there’s an itty bitty organic shop that helps your lips stay smooth all season.

Meet Face Affection, an all-natural, handmade lip and beard care shop. Yes, they’re all about the mouths and we’re certainly fans of it. Their products are simple, clean, and totally safe.

♥Kelsey’s Thoughts♥

First, let’s get into the cure packaging. This little personalized bag was super cute.

It’s simple and totally on brand for what Face Affection tries to represent: clean and organic beauty. There were also little Hershey Kisses inside. Like, hello, A Kiss at Midnight? Now for what’s inside…

IMGqweq_9542.jpg

As I said last week, when we reviewed Bellissima Bain, I’m a newly converted believer in the importance of a good lip scrub. This little tub is full of Citrus Lip Affection Scrub, which you can pick up here for $5. It made my lips a little pick-me-up and gave them a little exfoliation that helped my lipstick to go on smoothly later. But my favorite part of this little bag is the lip balm.

wefwef.jpg

I use chapstick like nobody’s business and Face Affection sent me Natural and Mint Lip Affection Balms, which you can get here. I’m going to be honest, this was the nicest balm I’ve ever used. It was so velvety soft and didn’t dry out my lips like mass produced chapsticks can. I like the mint a little more than the natural, just because I enjoy a little scent and flavor with my balm. Lip Affection also comes in citrus and lavender.

wefw.jpg

Another thing I love is that, since this store is organic, I can use the Natural Lip Affection on my toddler. It’s great for the long hours outside and since it’s not flavored, she won’t lick at it or eat it or anything else weird that kids do.

I give Face Affection 6/6 Glass Slippers

♥Sarah’s Thoughts♥

Like Kelsey, I also got Hershey kisses and I think that anything that comes with chocolate is instantly more amazing. However, I promise to give an honest review. The first thing I’ll say about the chapstick is that mine was sealed. I LOVED this. There was a seal proving, at least in my mind, that no one else used it. I got mint and natural. Now, I barely used the natural before my husband quickly stole it. He loves it and honestly, I think he uses chapstick more than me. So not only does Kelsey’s daughter approve of this, my husband does. I liked the mint but it’s not one of my favorite scents in the world. However, that being said, it wasn’t overwhelmingly strong so it didn’t bother me much. The chapstick goes on smooth and IS NOT, I repeat, IS NOT sticky. Half hour later, the chapstick is still present and still NOT sticky. Hour later, same thing. This is some pretty long lasting stuff.

iughijkmg_9595

Alright! So now let’s talk about the citrus lip scrub. I initially used this at night but I quickly changed my tactics. I started using this in the morning as a way to wake me up. The citrus smell jolts me alert more than coffee. I am a night time skin care routine kind of girl but I am making time for this lip scrub and I recommend you do too. This is one of my favorite things I’ve discovered lately and I am SUCH a fan.

img_959iohnl7

In case you were wondering, I’m not wearing any lipstick or gloss. The lip scrub and the balm bring a natural shine to your lips that give you the perfect nude lip.

I give Face Affection a 5.5/6 Glass Slippers

Overall, we think you should give this new little shop a lot of love, especially if you love organic lip care that’s child safe! You can also get gift packages for your loved ones that come wrapped and gift bags for parties! They also carry beard care items and tinted lip balms for a little extra boost to your natural beauty.

eOriginalArt

Morning! Ready for a brand new product review? This one is extra special because part of this package was made just for us! eOriginalArt is run by the awesome Eren Simpson, who makes personalized rings, buttons, necklaces, teething accessories for you mamas out there, tote bags, and bracelets. You can see her whole line at her Etsy shop here!isbl_1680x420.24811133_28r7sl8t.jpg

♥Kelsey’s Thoughts♥

Let’s start with the packaging. It was simple, cute, and I loved it. You don’t need fancy wrapping and expensive bows to make an impression. Sometimes it’s the simpler things that really highlight the products, which is exactly what you see here! Also, she shipped it ASAP. There wasn’t a crazy waiting time or anything, it seemed like we talked about the order and it was there the next day! It was awesome.

Next, let’s talk about the bracelet. Eren made this specially for us and put a lot of thought into it. As you can see, it says “A Kiss at Midnight”! She even asked for our wrist measurements so they would fit perfectly. And the bracelet itself was so light, it hardly even felt like I had it on. Like, I usually take all my jewelry off when I’m writing and editing, but it was like I wasn’t even wearing something on my wrist!

qwdqw.jpg

I’ve been wearing it every day since I took it out of the box. And when I had a little writer’s block last night while working on a book, seeing the name of the blog on my wrist gave me a little push to reevaluate my story and continue typing. While this bracelet is obvi just for us, it was made in a style that she already carries. You can check it out here and grab your own personal bracelet for $12.50. Worth it.

Finally, Eren put a little something extra in our boxes, and it was perfect. Even though Sarah and I live in different states, we’re basically the same person. We are published by the same company, we blog together, we are involved in all the big and little things in each other’s lives, and we work as writing partners. Eren recognized our BFF status and gave us each half a heart that spelled out “Sister From Another Mister”. Hella true. Grab your own necklace for you and your other half here for $20.00.

I give this shop 6/6 Glass Slippers!

♥♥♥

♥Sarah’s Thoughts♥

Like Kelsey said, this shipped quickly. She got hers first and I was unbelievably jealous. However, my package came the next day. I was so excited about the “friendship necklace” because Kelsey and I grew up in the 90’s. If you didn’t give your best friend a friendship necklace for their birthday, did your friendship even count? But this is the adult version and it is perfect because of how far apart Kelsey and I live. Now, I can’t wear it on a daily basis, since I have to go to work, but I keep it for the casual days. It’s light, inappropriate, and black so it matches about everything I wear.

img_2561

Now, the bracelet. Like Kelsey said, we had this commissioned and it was easy. Kelsey and I went onto the eOrigional’s etsy shop, looked at the bracelets and asked for the black thread. So, this isn’t a flimsy bracelet. It is a solid bracelet with an easy clasp. I know Kelsey said she had some issues attaching the clasp, but I was able to slip it on. I was a little more liberal with my wrist size. What I like about the bracelet is that it kind of shines when the light hits it. No, this isn’t an editing trick. This is actually how the bracelet looks outside. And ps, it was mad raining when I was taking it.

img_2571

I like the ability to customize things but this site makes it easy. You don’t have to come up with the idea all by yourself. There are enough examples that you have a variety of options to choose from. But…there are tons of options you can buy that have already been made for you to choose from. Basically, you have endless opportunities. But the best part of it all, I wore both the bracelet and the necklace for two days straight, except the shower, and I didn’t break out. I didn’t get itchy. I didn’t have a reaction. So those of you with a problem with nickle, you’re all good.

Bellissima Bain

Morning, lovelies! We had a delightful treat for you guys from a little company called

Bellissima Bain. It’s run by a wonderful French-Italian woman named Arlene, who is currently battling breast cancer. Yes, she’s fighting off an illness that would leave some bed bound, but she’s still lovingly honing her craft to create luxurious products that left us feeling pampered. So let’s dive right into Bellissima Bain

‎♥Kelsey’s Thoughts♥

IMG_9277.JPG

First, let’s start with the packaging. I thought it was quite nice, clean, and professional. I mean, look at that business card! It’s something worthy of the spa experience I felt I received in my own home. In my package, I received Candy Heart Lip Scrub, Sugar Cookie Body Scrub, and Cocoa Body Butter.

My favorite product I received was the Candy Heart Lip Scrub. While that was a Valentine’s Day special, the rest of the lip scrubs are available here.

IMG_9361.JPG

Winter had be really harsh on my lips. I’m constantly putting on chapstick, which can make things worse. I hadn’t actually ever tried a lip scrub before, although I had heard about them. Let me tell you, this Bellissima Bain scrub converted me into a regular user. A simple swipe and a little massage is all you need for perfectly kissable lips. And it was so sweet! The added ingredients made it much tastier than the original candy heart, so putting it on was a treat by itself! If I can suggest some flavors for those who looking to try a jar, I would say the Honey Lemon Drop, the Peach Bellini, and the Rose Milk all sound amazing! You can check out the whole lip scrub line here! And at $4.50 a jar, it’s really quite the steal.

Next was the Sugar Cookie Body Scrub.

I love me a good body scrub, and this one smelled delicious! It was like I was being exfoliated by the Pillsbury Doughboy. My skin came out smooth and lightly scented. I was worried I would smell like a Bath and Body Works cashier, but it was really lovely. Not overpowering and just added the lightest hint of sugar to my skin. You can get the Sugar Cookie Body Scrub here, and it’s only $13.50, which I think is a pretty nice deal for something in such a sizable tub. I did my whole body and probably have enough for 5 more uses. There are also so many scents to choose from; Cocktails/Drinks, Desserts, and Herby/Fruity/Floral scents. I recommend the Chai Latte, the Crem Brulee, or the Lemon Sea Salt.

Finally, I also received a Cocoa Body Butter, which smelled delightfully like hot cocoa.

img_9433

It was smooth and I only needed a light covering to coat my arms. Again, the smell was there, but not overpowering or with those fake undertones that ruin a lot of otherwise great products. Also, I have sensitive skin, so I was worried about reactions, but I’ve worn this body butter several times now without issue and my skin stays perfectly soft all day! You can get this tasty Cocoa Body Butter here, or maybe you’d like to try the Rose Milk, which I’m adding to my shopping list!

I give Bellissima Bain 6/6 Glass slippers!

‎♥Sarah’s Thoughts♥

I was sent the Blueberry Margarita Body Scrub and I actually used it on Margarita Day! So, it doesn’t smell like tequila and bad decisions. The blueberry smell is pretty overpowering but I actually really liked how sweet it was. I used the scrub before shaving my legs and…geez it made a difference. My legs were silky smooth for longer than normal. It did make me look like the purple people eater, but it came off with the water. Just be careful with this, it left a blue ring on the side of my tub. It came off easily, but you want to remember to make sure to wipe the container, so it doesn’t spread the colors.

I also got the key lime pie lip scrub. Like Kelsey, winter (well, the like two weeks of cold weather we’ve had) was hard on my lips and I have a sexy husband that I like to kiss. At night, I started using the scrub and then the lip balm before going to bed. I wake up with smooth lips no matter how badly chapped they were the night before. I definitely am adding this to my nightly routine and I’d suggest you do too. It makes it so much easier to put lip stick on.

IMG_9472.jpg

Now, the Key Lime Pie…it actually smells amazing.

Finally, I got the Strawberry mimosa petite body butter. This was a lot smaller than my blueberry one and I felt I was going to use it all pretty quickly. Overall, it didn’t really smell like a mimosa but the strawberry flavor was on point. Between the two, I liked the blueberry more but that could be because I know it will last. But the petite body butter, would be great for traveling. However, it is pink and that’s all I need in life. Well, that and tacos.

All three of these products were light and not the slightest bit greasy. I saw on their page that they are now making face scrubs, and I am very interested in trying that.

I give them 5.5/6 glass slippers.

♥♥♥

Some final notes before we say farewell: First, Bellissima Bain does bulk orders that can add a special something to your party, wedding, or baby shower.
